According to the prosecution system of the Bari DDA, these are the victims of the warnings from the Foggia underworld which had targeted the world of football. The suspects, all from Foggia, are Marco Lombardi47 years old, Massimiliano Russo, 48 years old, Fabio Delli Carri, 46 years old, Danilo Mustaccioli, 46 years old.
Lombardi was involved years ago in the “Gotha” operation against the Sinesi-Francavilla clanRusso was instead recently sentenced in first instance to 11 years in “Decimabis” while Delli Carri ended up in the news for his romantic relationship with the former city councilor Liliana Iadarola. He was also talked about in relation to the video surveillance case. His name also emerged in the arrest papers of Erjon Rameta, the young Albanian later convicted for the bombings of the “Poseidon” and “Il Sorriso di Stefano”. Delli Carri gave him a lift the night of the pub attack.
As reported in the search decree of the DDA and the Foggia Prosecutor’s Office, Lombardi and Russo would have illegally detained and brought to a public place “explosive material, represented by one kilogram of pyrotechnic substance with fuse, which Russo, at the instigation and with the moral contribution of Lombardi” would have positioned “at the height of the driver’s side door of the Audi Q5 vehicle used by Emanuele Canonico and parked inside the registered office of the company CN Costruzioni Generali spa”, a company owned by his father, the latter patron of Calcio Foggia. All “with the aggravating circumstance of having committed the act making use of the conditions set out in the art. 416 bis of the criminal code, resorting to the use of mafia intimidation force”.
Lombardi, Russo, Delli Carri and a minor TO THE they also allegedly set fire to the Lancia Delta car with flammable liquid Antonello D’Ascanio, ultras leader of the south curve. They attempted, without success, to burn the managers’ car Giuseppe Severo and Vincenzo Milillo.
Then there is the patron, also targeted by the underworld. The suspects are suspected of having hatched a “criminal plan, through acts of violence and threats aimed unequivocally at forcing Nicola Canonico to resign and sell the company, thus obtaining an unfair profit to the detriment of the offended person”, but the action would not have been carried out “for reasons beyond their control”.
For all these reasons, the investigators had the homes of the suspects searched, ordering the seizure of paper documentation, IT media (computers, tablets, mobile phones, USB sticks, DVDs and other), money and/or other assets resulting from the criminal activity. and anything else deemed useful for the purposes of the investigations.
Finally, the spotlight of the investigators is on the shooting of the former captain’s Jeep Davide Di Pasquale and about the fire of another player’s car, Alessandro Garattoni. The investigations would have started right after the shooting of Di Pasquale’s car parked near the Zaccheria in the days of the playoff final lost against Lecco.
