Descriptive text here

The Cinema Auditorium Zambra in Ortona (Ch) hosts the presentation of Oceans (Radici edizioni), the novel by the author and journalist Fabio Iuliano: this is the first presentation of the calendar dedicated to the “May of Books” in collaboration with the Modern Bookshop, Fabulinus&Minerva by Micaela Ortolano. Therefore, on May 2nd at 6.30 pm, Unaltroteatro (by Lorenza Sorino and Arturo Scognamiglio) will welcome the author and the public in the foyer for Oceans which tells the journey of a young musician, who retraces his memories through the music and places of the past, to return to relive what was the most important night for him. And also for this new event there will be music to accompany the presentation. Oceans is a story that smacks of saudade and serendipity, of salt from the North Seas, of love and second thoughts, of old and new encounters. It is the story of Simone, of his life as a blogger and musician that flows at a slow pace, until a wave tears him away from the soft present in which he has taken refuge. Swansea, Rome, Lisbon. Three cities and three times, to illuminate with the spotlight the segment of the stage occupied by those who try to leave behind the scars of Paris and the memory of “that” night. It is an introspective journey in search of oneself. «Don’t you realize how much every single moment is immersed in the eternal? Yet we always have the impression that time escapes us, like the earth beneath our steps. Every aspect of life marks this moment: the breeze of dawn, the sound of the sea, the cars racing towards the Marina. Senses tired after six in the evening. My point is that for the inhabitants of Oystermouth Cemetery, life has already run its course. It is we, in our changing being, in our small daily changes who have, or at least delude ourselves into having, the flow that runs through our veins. And this makes us anxious. The anxiety of not being able to keep the promises we have made to ourselves. We are not afraid of dying, but afraid of living a life that, ultimately, is just a dragon’s dream. Some days I feel like I’m swinging upside down from a bridge and suffer from reverse dizziness.”
