Born in ’69, he was a protagonist with Massese, Siena, Livorno, Udinese, Genoa, Turin, Carrarese. Rossano Berti’s career
“Born in Viareggio, class of ’69, he began playing in Tuscany, in Tirrenia Ronchi. He then moved to Fiorentina and played for several years in the Viola youth team, before playing for Viareggio and ending his career as a footballer. He therefore began training very young players, at just 26 years old, and then moved on to the professionals, first in LegaPro, then in Serie B, then in A, on Davide Nicola’s staff, with the role of Goalkeeper Coach and – from the 2016 season/ 17- responsible for dead balls: in the top category, he supported Nicola in the assignments in Livorno, Bari, Crotone, Udinese, Genoa and Turin, with specific skills also in the passage carried out in Salerno.
Holding the qualification of 3rd category coach and FIGC goalkeeper trainer, he was a founding member of “Apport”, an association that deals with the preparation and methodology of goalkeeper training and author of the book “The training of coordination skills for the young football goalkeeper: 646 exercises”, having followed numerous improvement courses in this specific area”is Davide Nicola’s message on Rossano Berti’s career.
