“Let’s Swing and Sway” is an evening event, an opportunity for lovers of the dance music genre, a mix of events to the engaging rhythm of swing. The Spazio Tev in Sassari (in the San Giorgio district) will host the double event on Saturday 6 April.
From 5pm to 8pm intensive Lindy Hop Dance workshop with Cagliari Lindy Circus. Stefano Murgia and Silvia Danese will guide participants to discover the foundations of lindy hop, the swing music couple dance born in the twenties and thirties in Harlem, the neighborhood of New York.
From 9.30pm the show will be hosted by New Swing Orchestra, which he proposes together with Theater en vol a new theatrical musical production that travels from New Orleans to Mexico and the Balkan lands with a repertoire that goes from Dixieland to Swing, from Cumbia to Balkan with interludes that refer to the Italian songs of the forties. They will be performing from New Orleans to Bogota Liz Paniko (voice and accordion), Simone Pala (tenor sax), Davide Bozzato (clarinet), Marce Tubagroove (sousaphon) e Vittorio Sicbaldi (drums).
