Emilia Romagna promotes the circular economy
The Emilia Romagna Region has published a notice from 10 million euros finalized to implement the principles of circular economy as well as encouraging the transition towards a development model based on saving of raw materials and reuse of waste.
Who are the beneficiaries
They can apply for contributions Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises with a local unit, in which the project is carried out, in Emilia Romagna and which, depending on the intervention to be carried out, operate under the de minimis regime or exemption regime.
Eligible investments and expenses
Projects are eligible:
- aimed at the construction of new plants or the upgrading of existing plants necessary for waste treatment and recycling and their transformation into secondary raw material
- of technological, product, process and service innovation aimed at the reconversion and/or requalification of economic activity towards a model of circular economyable to reduce waste production/waste or an increase in reusable waste.
For the implementation of the interventions, the beneficiaries will be able to facilitate all those expenses incurred after submitting the application, relating to the purchase of:
- tangible and intangible capital goods: machinery, systems, equipment, software, trademarks and patents
- masonry works services connected to the installation of goods
- specialized consultancy services for the implementation of the project and for obtaining environmental certifications
- other general expenses allowed at a flat rate.
The facilitation
For investment projects of a minimum amount of 100,000 euros, beneficiaries will be able to obtain a non-repayable contribution up to 40% of the eligible expenses, and in any case for a maximum payable amount of €300,000 if granted under the de minimis regime, or, up to 55% of the eligible expenses if granted under the exemption regime and in any case for a maximum payable amount equal to 2,000,000 if a high recycling capacity can be demonstrated.
The contribution is increased by a further 5% in the presence of at least one reward criterion (e.g. reduction of energy consumption; obtaining labels certifying environmental sustainability or material recovery; possession of a legality rating; youth or female component of the company; implementation of the project in flooded areas, internal or mountain areas).
When to apply
Applications, evaluated on the basis of a ranking procedure, can be submitted starting from 10.00 am on April 9, 2024 until 1.00 pm on May 21, 2024.
