Excellent results for Klass Coral Alghero.
The regular season of Klass Coral Alghero in Regional Division 1 ended with a victory and sixth place. In injury time on the 2nd first leg, coach Longano’s team beat Atletico Cagliari 61-60. Very balanced match from the start, with the Alghero team eager to confirm the progress made in the last few matches and the guests looking for a victory to finish in second place.
This was not the case and Atletico Cagliari, third in the standings, will be Coral’s opponent in the play-offs. Returning to the match played in the Olmedo gym, it was a good test for the Alghero boys also because for a good part of the match they were unable to count on the most talented player, Juan Sahud, penalized by the three fouls accumulated in the first quarter. The Argentine then returned at the end of the third set, contributing to Coral’s success. Almost everyone on the scoresheet, in the end, and excellent signs in view of the play-offs which will start immediately after the Easter holidays.
Appointment with game 1 of the quarter-finals in Cagliari on April 7th, then game 2 in Olmedo and possible game 3 again on the Atletico parquet. Meanwhile, the Under 19 season also continues and in injury time against Cus Sassari they lost with a score of 66-89. Now the clock phase will start. But beyond the final placing, for Coral the satisfaction of seeing their young players grow, many of whom are now permanent members of the first team.
