Strengthened controls in view of Easter: all decisions

Easter is now upon us and in Abruzzo it has been decided to strengthen controls to guarantee the safety of citizens: here are the details.

It will be an armored Easter in L’Aquila and throughout Abruzzo. In view of the various events scheduled in recent days it was decided to strengthen controls. A choice made to guarantee greater safety for citizens and all tourists who arrive in the region for a short holiday.

The lighthouses are aimed mainly at the most inhabited centres, but in the province of L’Aquila (and not only) we will also take a look at rural areas. These are places that attract hundreds of tourists every year during this period and the aim is to allow everyone to spend a peaceful time.

Easter in Abruzzo, strengthened controls

Controls will be strengthened throughout the region and the province of L’Aquila will be among those with the greatest presence of law enforcement. According to the information available, the carabinieri will also be on the streets in civilian clothes to carefully check all the events scheduled in the next few days.

But it absolutely doesn’t end here. It was decided to strengthen controls to intercept any non-prudent driving behaviour. A significant number of accidents have been recorded in recent weeks. With this choice we will try to avoid other tragedies on the roads of L’Aquila and Abruzzo. To do this, all five carabinieri companies in the province of L’Aquila were involved. It will be up to them to carry out the necessary checks and guarantee the safety of citizens and tourists.

Millions of tourists expected

Days with millions of tourists in Abruzzo are expected. The events planned during the Easter period attract people from other regions every year and also in 2024 the forecasts confirm what happened in the past. A presence that led local authorities to strengthen controls to guarantee their safety.

Abruzzo’s objective is therefore to restart tourism and the economy these days, but also to do so without putting people arriving in the region in danger.
