We have read, as reported by local media, the 8 programmatic points of the centre-right in view of the next administrative elections, and we believe it is necessary to reflect on some of the proposals put forward.
1. resources must be found in the budget to announce competitions in local police and control of free zones in the city.
The free zones of a city are those in which the only law respected is that dictated by organized crime, areas in which the police are unable to enter. In Italy these are defined as Le Vele di Scampia, the Parco Verde di Caivano and a few others, I then ask not the candidate for Mayor, but the people of Cremona who among them believe they live in a free zone, with regard to the local police force we would like to point out that the Municipality has announced every possible competition and recruited agents also with other forms such as the mobility.
2.“Alarmed electronic gates and video surveillance system: positioned in the strategic communication arteries of the city”.
They are already there, they are on the Po bridge, on Via Mantova, on Via Milano, on Via Giuseppina.
3. Active network for legality and safety”. It is “A permanent conference attended by: Presidents of the Neighborhood Committees; representatives of specialist addiction services; artisan associations, traders and operators; and educational institutions. The network promotes: the use of chat between neighborhood committees and the local police for reporting risk and danger situations linked to petty crime and suspicious behaviour; active citizenship tools that provide for collaboration between private citizens and individual businesses with the Local Police for reporting; the fight against the spread of narcotic substances in youth communities through preventive measures such as awareness-raising courses in schools, aimed at guaranteeing a culture of legality”.
This could be, due to its evanescence and uselessness, the classic point of a terrible left-wing program on security.
4.”Teaser as a dissuasion tool, supplied to local police officers; provision of a body cam for local police officers”.
The body cams are already in use by officers thanks to a tender co-financed by the Lombardy region. On the teaser, we refer to what was declared in the City Council by Pietro Burgazzi, a retired local police officer, advisor to FDI, very critical of the tool.
5. structural interventions involving the recovery and/or redevelopment of dilapidated buildings.
The proposal would have been good 10 years ago, never before have resources been found for the recovery of our properties: Palazzo Due Miglia, Palazzo Grasselli, via Radaelli, San Francesco, not to mention the safety of all the schools inherited still with asbestos.
6. Installation of remote geolocalised alarm systems on buses”.
I am sorry to have to point out once again that Arriva Italia, a company that deals with local transport in the city, already has in use, on every means of transport, what the centre-right program asks for: geolocalisation and cameras.
7. “Reduction of the opening hours of food and drink vending machines can be achieved through a municipal ordinance”
This ordinance would be challenged as illegitimate: The Mayor cannot reduce the opening hours of a commercial activity by basing his ordinance on simple presumption, a measure with such serious content cannot be based on mere inferences, but requires adequate evidentiary support , which, according to the absence of reports from the police forces, does not exist today in Cremona.
8. “Environmental safety, identification and fight against toxic waste dispersion activities in the green and peripheral areas of the city.
O beautiful one! apart from the fact that it doesn’t seem to me that we are in the land of fires, it is interesting to note that the conflict is aimed only at the abandonment of toxic waste, the Municipality has instead set up several camera traps identifying 30 locations possibly sensitive to the abandonment of waste. All waste, not just toxic waste.
Urban safety is a fundamental community value since it pertains to the quality of life of citizens; it should not be ignored but should be treated with the prudence that such delicate issues require, adopting the systems of repression that are necessary and promoting to the point of exhaustion the strengthening of the bonds that bind us as a community, we like to close by making the opinions of the Commander of the force our own of the Cremona Carabinieri “I believe that the Cremona community is already strong in a coexistence based on respect for the rules and social cohesion. It is equipped with antibodies that prevent forms of deviance.”
