John C. Kilcoyne, age 61, of Highlands Ranch, CO and formerly of Marcellus, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 15, 2024. He was born in Syracuse, NY and graduated from Jordan Elbridge HS. John was a Veteran of the US Navy. He served on the USS San Jacinto in Operation Desert Shield during the Gulf War and was a member of the Marcellus American Legion Ralph Share Post 297. John was employed as a systems engineer in telecommunications throughout his career. His quick wit, laughter and humble heart will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
John is predeceased by his mother Eleanor Barton; his father Daniel Kilcoyne; sister Linda Kilcoyne; brother-in-law Tommy Long and sister-in-law Marcia Kilcoyne. John is also predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jeanette (Foglietti) Kilcoyne; sons Ian (Guinness) and Evan; brothers Daniel (Debbie) and Donny (Jessica); sisters Kathy O’Conner and Kelly Newton (Dave); brother-in-law Joseph Foglietti (Sheila); Carol Bristol; several nieces and nephews; best friends Lamar and Lisa Williams.
Calling hours will be Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 1 to 4 pm at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus, concluding at 4 pm with an American Legion Service. The burial, with Military Honors, will be Monday, April 1 at noon in Shepard Settlement Cemetery, Skaneateles, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to National Jewish Health or Miracle League of Denver.
