In a survey in view of the European elections, Nando Pagnoncelli analyzes the effect of the events of the last month on the political forces, highlighting the now consolidated overtaking of Forza Italia on the League and the gap between the Democratic Party and the Five Star Movement.

Forza Italia overtakes the League, the Democratic Party detaches the Five Star Movement: these are two elements highlighted by the survey by Nando Pagnoncelli, published in Corriere della Sera, which highlights all the peculiarities of the last couple of months of political news and the impact on political forces. In March, she writes, we saw two very different regional elections: that in Sardinia, where a candidate expressed by the M5s triumphed for the first time, and that in Abruzzo, which instead led to the defeat of the broad camp. But not only that: in the last month there was also the episode of truncheon beatings on students in Pisa, the dossier case, the one involving the Municipality of Bari and the international difficulties. “From all these events the executive and the prime minister emerge partially strengthened – writes Pagnoncelli – The government’s approval indicator is today 47 (one point above last month, three points more than at the worst moment in recent months), with 43% of Italians evaluating its work positively and 48% instead it gives negative evaluations“.

As regards Giorgia Meloni’s approval rating, it is 48 points, also in this case up by one point in the last month: 44% of Italians have a positive opinion of her, compared to a negative opinion of 48% of the sample .

Pagnoncelli then underlines how some changes have been recorded in voting orientations, in view of the next European elections: “In the government area, beyond a few decimals growth of Brothers of Italya strength which today is estimated at 27.5%, seems to be consolidating its overtaking Forza Italia on the League. The former are in fact estimated at 8.7% (half a point more than a month ago), the Lega at 8%, a few decimals less“. The pollster then highlights how even on the opposition side “there is a readjustment of the balance of power between Democratic party And Five Stars movement“.

Political polls, all down except Forza Italia: both FdI, Pd and M5s down

The Democratic Party has grown by more than one point in the last month, reaching 20.5%: the opposite fate of that of the M5s, which instead lost a point, falling to 16.1%, i.e. more than four points less than its ally wide field.
