Descriptive text here

The weather forecast for Abruzzo today outlines a partly cloudy or partly cloudy sky. Strong winds from Libeccio with Garbino on the Adriatic side

SITUATION. After the passage of the Atlantic disturbance which yesterday favored widespread showers, strong southerly winds and the rise of suspended sand at high altitude, in the next few hours Italy will continue to be affected by the arrival of Atlantic currents. They will directly affect the northern regions, the upper Tyrrhenian side and, marginally, the central Tyrrhenian regions, where cloud cover and possible precipitation will be possible, extending towards the internal areas of Marche and Abruzzo.

Strong Libeccio winds will blow for most of the day and the Garbino will affect the Adriatic sector of Marche, Abruzzo and Molise, where temperatures will rise again and gusts could locally exceed 70-90 km/h even in the foothill and hilly areas. Subsequently, starting from Friday, the intensity of the winds will decrease which, however, will move from the southern quadrants (Scirocco, Ostro in the south) and will favor a general increase in temperatures in all regions and a new rise in dust/sand African suspended at altitude.

No substantial changes are expected over the weekend, the weather will be stable, very hot but with a cloudy, milky sky, although cloud cover cannot be ruled out between Saturday and Easter, especially in the internal areas of the Marche and Abruzzo. The latest updates of the mathematical models also highlight the probable arrival of a cloud system in the afternoon-evening of Monday, with a probable increase in instability also in our central regions and decreasing temperatures.

FORECAST. In Abruzzo, general conditions of slightly cloudy or partially cloudy skies are expected due to the presence of medium-high and stratified clouds on the Adriatic side, while significant cloud cover may occur in the Alto L’Aquilano, the Marsica and the Alto Sangro, especially close to the relief, where occasional scattered showers cannot be excluded. Strong winds from Libeccio with Garbino on the Adriatic side: gusts could easily exceed 70-90 km/h. Wind gusts above 100-120 km/h in mountainous areas. On Friday the winds will gradually tend to weaken, but will move from the southern or south-eastern quadrants (Sirocco), with temperatures generally increasing.

Temperatures rising, especially on the Adriatic side.

Moderate or strong winds from the south-western quadrants. Impetuous Garbino on the Adriatic side with gusts locally exceeding 70-90 km/h, especially in the foothills and hilly areas.

Sea generally rough; locally little movement near the coast.
