The fate of the Ceremonial Castle, here’s what could happen in June onwards

The story involving Villa Sonrisa and the Polese family is not yet over. In fact, it seems that the structure in which the various weddings took place is on a razor’s edge and could even be demolished.

Villa Sonrisa, over the last few years, had achieved notoriety thanks to the program that was broadcast on Real Time and in which all those sumptuous receptions that took place within the Sant’Antonio Abate structure were recounted. However, it is a structure that in part appears to be abusive and which therefore, following the ruling of the Supreme Court, ended up in the hands of the municipality which will now have to decide its fate.

In fact, now it will be the municipal council of Sant’Antonio Abate that will decide what the fate of the Ceremonial Castle. Based on what we read in the Corriere del Mezzogiorno, during the last session Ilaria Abbagnale, the mayor of the town, explained that they will soon be new appraisals arranged.

The aim is to understand the environmental, hydrogeological, urban and landscape impact of all those structures located in Sonrisa and which not many months ago belonged to the Polese family.

Following the assessments, the municipal council which will have to be elected in June will have the task of deciding whether Sonrisa will have to be demolished or whether it will be possible to proceed in a different way. However, to be able to move in this direction the municipality will have to acquire it within its municipal heritage and then decide what moves to make.

Meanwhile, the mayor asked Sonrisa to proceed with the payment of a sort of occupancy feean expense that must be applied from February 15th, i.e. from when the confiscation took place and the court placed that structure that once belonged to the Poleses in the hands of the municipality.

Only if the family pays what the municipal offices have established will they be able to continue celebrating the various weddings and also ensure that the employees who have been hired within it, around 100 people, can continue to work.
