In the past few hours a source revealed to Entertainment Tonight that the two stars «are not yet officially separated» but «they live separate lives»: «At the beginning they were optimistic, they thought the situation could change. It didn’t happen that way. And at this point, simply, each of the two is doing their own thing.” The crisis would be so serious that Ben and J.Lo they would put their mansion in Beverly Hills up for sale, purchased just last year for around $60 million. The residence with 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a garage for 12 cars, a swimming pool, and a sports complex, would be open for visits for a few days. There isn’t a real online announcement, but the international press has no doubts: the villa is for sale.
For weeks now the tabloids have been writing that Ben has left the family home and moved into a rental property in Brentwood. That distancing, however, could suggest a simple pause for reflection: «They’re taking their time to understand whether the relationship is right or not for both of them”, an insider told a few days ago US Weekly. Instead, if we listen to the new indiscretions, the two stars are proceeding quickly towards divorce. An epilogue that no one would have imagined until a few months ago. The two, after being one step away from getting married in 2003, after the surprise breakup in 2004after reunion equally surprisingly in 2021 and after the double wedding celebrated in 2022, they seemed more in love than ever. Until a few months ago, red carpets as a couple, made up of rapt glances and passionate kisses, spoke of a happy couple.
Instead, Ben and J.Lo would have listened to the gossip totally different personalities and lifestyles. And this would have worn out the marriage in the long run. The first signs of a crisis arrived at the beginning of May, when Jennifer had attended the Met Gala alone. A few days later Affleck attended his daughter Violet’s graduation party without his wife. At the beginning of June the two stars reappeared together at his son Samuel’s basketball game. But, as the international press had pointed out, they had greeted each other with a hasty kiss on the cheek. Furthermore, just a few days ago Lopez made a sensational move which to many seemed closely linked to the (alleged) marital crisis: the pop star canceled his summer tour dates in the United States because «it is taking some free time to be with his family childrenthe family they close friends”. Words that the gossip translated as follows: she must try to save her marriage. Mission failed, apparently: if we listen to the latest rumours, Ben and J.Lo are moving so quickly towards divorce that “they have put the family villa up for sale”.
