Always smiling, always well dressed with his looks. This time, however, Alessandro Borghese he had a really bad time. The well-known chef and television personality of great fame, thanks to the hosting of “4 restaurants” tells us about a disturbing experience he had within the Sky Italia format.

Recently, Sky announced the schedules for the autumn/winter 2004/2025 season. Guest of Fabio Rovazzi and Marco Mazzoli on the 2046 podcast, the chef recounted two disturbing misadventures to say the least that happened to him while filming “4 restaurants“. This is because, evidently, what we then see on air is only part of what happens in the various venues visited by the format.

First, the chef told of a misadventure with fish. In a restaurant by the sea, Borghese orders a sea bass, which arrives headless. And this would already be a red pencil error. Upon request, the waiter appears very confident. But this is where the story becomes disturbing (and revolting): “He heads towards the kitchen, I follow him without being seen and I see him stick his hand in the garbage, take the head of the fish and reattach it to the body. Here a great disaster happened”. But, if you believe this is the height of disgust, then hear this other story.

Borghese and the cast are in Sardinia, specifically in the Barbagia area. There, the challenge on a typical dish: barbecue, meat and Sa Cordula, which is the small intestine of the lamb wrapped around itself. Obviously, however, the intestines must be cleaned well… “The dish arrives at the table and the shepherds look at each other, one smells it and says ‘it tastes like me***’. But we were on broadcast, so with cameras and everything else, so we cut and eat. But I couldn’t do it, after eating a small piece I ran away behind the shed to vomit”. In short, a television tragedy, all accompanied by live coverage!
