“In 2013 I discovered I had Graves’ disease, I was operated on, they removed a gland. (…) For the first few months I was completely speechless. I thought I wouldn’t go back to doing my job.”these are the dramatic words of Nazzaro, in an interview with Verissimo.

In addition to his fight against Graves’ disease, Manila also had to deal with it uterine carcinoma. The diagnosis came at an already delicate moment in her life, during the divorce from her husband Francesco Cozza.
