Five months after the opening of the negotiations between Flai Cgil, Fai Cisl, Uila Uil and Agci-Agrital, Fedagripesca-Confcooperative, Legacoop-Agroalimentare, on Thursday 13 June, during the plenary meeting, the negotiations for the renewal of the collective agreement for employees of agricultural cooperatives and consortiawhich expired on December 31st.

The unions say this, judging “the responses of the counterparties to our demands to be absolutely unsatisfactory, especially on the salary side”. The unions reiterated “the centrality of the economic increase in this renewal”, highlighting that “the request contained in the platform has the objective of safeguarding wage growth for the next four years, also recovering the loss of purchasing power of highly eroded by the inflationary blaze of recent years.”

For Flai Cgil, Fai Cisl and Uila Uil it is necessary to “restore dignity and value to the professionalism and commitment of workers essential for the production of the excellence of our Made in Italy, as already demonstrated not only during the period of the Covid -19 pandemic, who deserve adequate and useful responses to the renewal of the contract also in the agricultural cooperation sector”.

The unions hope that “this cry of anger and protest will allow the resumption of discussion on a more constructive basis”. Flai, Fai and Uila have already defined the mobilization initiatives, with the blocking of overtime and all flexibilities starting from Monday 17 June, meetings in all production sites and the proclamation of a day of national strike on July 1st which will be articulated at a territorial level.
