Funds for car incentives 2024 they were pulverized in a very short time from the opening of applications on June 3rd. On Monday 17 June at 10 am, however, the deadline for requesting thecar eco bonus from taxis and Ncc. Let’s find out together how the procedure works, how much you are entitled to and for which categories of vehicles the benefit is recognised.

Car ecobonus for taxis and Ncc

From 10 am on 17 June 2024, it will therefore be possible to book contributions for the purchase of non-polluting category M1 vehicles to be used for the service Taxi or rent with driver. The incentive, as also happened for private individuals, is promoted by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy and is managed by Invitalia.

The new contributions are available following the entry into force of the Prime Ministerial Decree of 20 May 2024, published in the Official Journal of 25 May 2024. For holders of taxi or rental licenses with driver (NCC), in detail, the 2024 car incentives are doubled within the de minimis limit provided for by EU Regulation no. 2023/2831.

How to request car incentives

The process for applying for the car ecobonus involves four phases:

  • Booking: the dealer/reseller, once registration on the platform is completed, proceeds with booking the contribution for each vehicle and, based on the availability of the fund, receives confirmation of the booking made
  • Disbursement: the dealer/retailer recognizes the contribution to his customer by offsetting the purchase price
  • Refund: the manufacturer/importer of the vehicle reimburses the dealer/retailer for the contribution paid
  • Recovery: the manufacturer/importer of the vehicle receives from the dealer/retailer all the useful documentation to recover the contribution refunded in the form of a tax credit

Ecobonus – Retrofit

The other innovation concerns the “Ecobonus – Retrofit” measure, aimed at those who intend to install LPG and methane fuel systems on M1 category vehicles. In this case, from 10 am on 19 June 2024 it will be possible to obtain accreditation through the reseller area.

The implementing decree of 3 June provides for a fixed contribution of 400 euros for LPG systems and 800 euros for methane systems. The amount will be paid by the installer to his customer through compensation with the price relating to the system and the installation activity. Overall, just under 10 million euros were allocated.
