The vaccine AstraZeneca
was withdrawn from the market from all over the world: the daily newspaper Corriere della Sera, in its online edition, reported what is happening. The sensational choice to definitively withdraw Vaxzevria caused a lot of discussion, also because the official reason was that of lack of demand and surplus of vaccines currently available against COVID.

In reality, two months ago there was a stop to the marketing of the vaccine in the European Union, but recent news is that it will no longer be produced anywhere in the world. Tuesday 7 May the European Medicines Agency has issued a warning that vaccine serum is no longer authorized for use.

The reason caused a sensation and AstraZenca was the subject of one lawsuit filed in London by relatives of British citizens deaths from blood clotswhich appear connected to the injected product.

At the end of April, the lawyers of the victims’ families had shown a very rare side effect with potentially fatal complications. It is known as thrombosis with thrombocytopenia and it occurred in 2 people out of 100 thousand vaccinated with Vaxzevria.
