The opinion on the update of the Handbook of hospital-territory continuity of care was approved

Rome – Last Tuesday, March 26, she settled in the new AIFA Pharmaceutical Scientific and Economic Commission (CSE).which brings together the functions and responsibilities attributed, before the Agency’s reform, to the Technical-Scientific Commission (CTS) and the Prices and Reimbursement Committee (CPR).

The technical-scientific director Pierluigi Russo presented the proposal for the organization and functioning regulation of the CSE, perfected in collaboration and with the review of the administrative director of AIFA Giovanni Pavesi. The Commission examined the items on the agenda and approved the opinion on the update of the Handbook of hospital-territory care continuity (PHT), in application of the provisions of the latest Budget Law (paragraph 224, art. 1, L. 213/2023). Finally, the managers of the technical areas presented the different activities of the Agency.

At the meeting of the Commission, chaired by Lara Nicoletta Angela Gitto, nine members participated (two by right and seven appointed); the only one absent, therefore, was the pharmacist from Bari Vincenzo Danilo Lozupone.

Ida Fortino, member designated by the Minister of Economy and Finance. Formerly director of AIFA’s drug strategy and economics area, he is director of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Organizational Unit of the Lombardy Region

Elisa Sangiorgi, member designated by the Permanent Conference for relations between the State, the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano. He is manager of the drug and medical device governance area of ​​the hospital care sector of the General Directorate of personal care, health and welfare of the Emilia-Romagna Region

Giuseppe Toffoli, member designated by the Permanent Conference for relations between the State, the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano. Former director of experimental and clinical pharmacology at the Oncology Reference Center of Aviano

Giovanna Scroccaro, member designated by the Permanent Conference for relations between the State, the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano. Formerly responsible for the Pharmaceutical, Prosthetics and Medical Devices Directorate of the Veneto Region. You have already had experience in AIFA, in 2019 you were appointed president of the Agency’s Prices and Reimbursement Committee.
