Among the many stories that on the shores of the Lario provide the backdrop to weddings that see newlyweds arriving from all over the world, the one that stands out is Jordan Giorgio e Anthony Paolinitwo young people who live in Washington – of clear Italian origins – and who on Monday 1st July will fulfill their dream of getting married on the shores of Lake Como: the wedding will take place at Villa Balbiano, a sumptuous residence on the border between Ossuccio and Lenno.
The parents of both spouses are of Italian origin and come from Sicily, Puglia and Campania. Jordan Giorgio, 28, is a very popular sports TV journalist in the States (on Instagram she has over 52 thousand followers), while her future husband Anthony Paolini, 32, works in the real estate sector.
The two future spouses have been spending their holidays on Lake Como for years. In the summer of 2022, aboard an elegant motorboat rocked by the waves in front of Villa del Balbianello, Antony asked his beloved Jordan to marry him. And two years later it’s time to say the fateful “yes”.
The future bride – from Instagram stories already at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo waiting for the big day – confirmed to our newspaper that “the desire is to strengthen our bond with Lake Como, buying a house in Tremezzina”.
The two young Americans, with Italy (and the Lario) in their hearts, then underlined that they were “very impressed by the beauty of the landscapes and the friendliness received from the local people, with whom they formed a beautiful bond”.
It is certainly an important spot for our lake, considering that the United States is the first reference country for the wedding segment. Finally, Jordan Giorgio confided that “Antony’s parents, who passed away when he was still very young, would have been proud to be here with us, proud of their son, his professional career and the path he has taken in life”.
