Stefano Bettarini comments on Signorini’s self-suspension from Mediaset with an old video on social media. And then he throws a dig at the GF host

Oh yes, the time for gasconades is truly overThis is the dig, published on social media, that Stefano Bettarini would have directed to Alfonso Signorini after the news of his self-suspension from Mediaset. The host, according to his lawyers, is facing “a slanderous and defamatory campaign” which began with the accusations launched by Fabrizio Corona in his podcast “Falsissimo”. Hence his choice to voluntarily and temporarily move away from the Cologno Monzese company.

A decision that the former footballer, competitor in two editions of the GF Viphe would have commented, teasing the host with a venomous dig on social media. In fact, in a story on Instagram, Bettarini shares the Mediaset press release on the self-suspension decided by the TV presenter. And then he adds an old clip from 2016, dating back to his first participation in the Canale 5 programme, at the time hosted by Ilary Blasiin which Signorini harshly criticizes him for his behavior in the most spied on house in Italy.

On that occasion Bettarini became the protagonist with Clemente Russoalso a competitor on the reality show, of a very explicit conversation about his love life. And both, in that exchange of opinions, they were accused of using very strong words towards other characters of the world of entertainment. The conversation soon generated a media scandal which cost the former boxer elimination due to disqualification. Bettarini, however, was harshly called out by Signorini himself, with statements that the former footballer himself recalled in his Instagram Stories. “This is serious, because it is serious. I believe that you would come out of this great first of all by apologizing to all the people involvedbecause they want us. But I’ll tell you: even your apologies aren’t enough for us, do you understand? We really need to change the attitude in the house. You can’t be the boy who acts bold at the bar… the time for gasconades is over”, said the then commentator during the live broadcast.

And it is precisely this last sentence that Bettarini wanted to take up again to send a message to the TV host. The former gieffino, in fact, writes: “Yes, the time of the Gasconate is truly over”, probably referring to the media outcry that was created after Fabrizio Corona’s statements against Signorini. The timing chosen by Bettarini does not seem casualAnd. His message, in fact, arrives just a few hours after the presenter’s lawyers, Daniela Missaglia and Domenico Aiello, announced his decision to self-suspend himself from Mediaset.

That of 2016 was not the only televised spat between Signorini and Bettarini. Even in 2020, when the editorial director of “Chi” was already host of Big Brother, the former footballer was called to participate in the reality show. His second experience in the house, however, it lasted only 72 hours and Bettarini was eliminated because he was accused of using an expression deemed blasphemous: “Unfortunately you became the protagonist of an episode that we must immediately clarify – said Signorini -. You let slip an expression that we cannot repeat, it is a blasphemous expression. I wouldn’t have expected it from an old fox like you. You are officially disqualified from the game, I’m sorry”, he commented again. Bettarini himself, after the disqualification, said he was mocked by the choice of program: “I find the “sanction” disproportionate and, after 21 days of quarantine and 5 swabs, I feel cheated; the pawn in a bullish game…”, he said at the time.
