The world of architecture and design says hello Simone Micheliaward-winning designer of international fame, passed away on 28 December 2025 at the age of 61. Founder of his studio in 1990 and of the company “Simone Micheli Architectural Hero” in 2003, in collaboration with Roberta Colla, Micheli left an indelible mark in many sectors, from master plan al product designwith an approach that has redefined the concept of habitable space.
His design vision is summed up in the key concept of architecture as a sensorial experience. For Micheli, space was not just a function, but an extension of the human being, a “place of the soul” conceived to generate psychophysical well-being and operate a “transfiguration of reality” that detached the individual from the banality of everyday life. Promoter of an idea ethical and sustainable luxuryhis creations integrated technology e eco-friendly materialsfavoring lightness over opulence.
Micheli’s style was immediately recognisable: fluid, hyper-connected and chromatic. With his staunch aversion to sharp edges, he preferred them organic and sinuous shapes. He treated the luce as a matter, massively using LED backlighting to create theatrical scenarios and dilating space through the use of mirrored surfaces e glossy. A great protagonist in the Hospitality & Wellness sector, his works are true icons that blend organic design with a clean futuristic vision.
His work, presented in the most important international exhibitions and celebrated in many publications, will continue to inspire those who believe that architecture should excite, touch and be experienced intensely.
