Grana Padano DOP, Frozen Raspberries and Salami Recalled

In recent days, the Ministry of Health and supermarket chains have reported recalls of four products: grated Grana Padano DOP, frozen raspberries, sweet salami and Mantua salami.

The Call of Grana Padano DOP

Conad, as a precaution, has recalled a batch of grated Grana Padano DOP due to the possible presence of micro-fragments of plastic detected during internal checks. The product in question is sold in 150 gram tubs, with the batch number 24149 and the expiry date 07/15/2024.

The Ambrosi Spa company produced grated Grana Padano DOP for Conad. The production plant is located in via Michelino 59, in Bologna (identification mark IT 03 159 CE; Consortium authorization BS10/91).

As a precaution, Conad invites you not to consume grated Grana Padano with the expiry date and batch number indicated above. Consumers who may be in possession of the recalled product can return it to the point of purchase, where it will be replaced or refunded.

The Call of Frozen Raspberries

Carrefour supermarkets, on the other hand, have recalled as a precaution a batch of frozen whole raspberries under the Carrefour Bio brand. The reason given in the recall notice is the “possible presence of Norovirus dangerous to human health”. The affected product is sold in 400 gram bags with batch number 50616301 and the minimum durability date (TMC) 03/04/2026.

The Fruits Rouges de l’Aisne company produced the frozen raspberries for Carrefour. The company headquarters is located at Rue Jean Bodin 1, in Laon, France (identification mark 421 437 591 00223).

Carrefour warns “People who have consumed the above-mentioned products and have a fever, isolated or accompanied by headache, are invited to consult their doctor and report the consumption. Pregnant women, immunosuppressed people, children and the elderly must pay particular attention to these symptoms.” For further information, you can contact the Carrefour toll-free number 800 650650.

The call of the sweet salami

The Ministry of Health then reported the recall by the manufacturer of a batch of Azzocchi Roberto brand sweet salami. The reason given is the presence of Salmonella. The product involved is sold in vacuum-packed packages of variable weight, with the batch number 113SD and the TMC 07/10/2024.

The company Azzocchi Roberto Srl produced the recalled sweet salami. The production plant is located in via Vallericcia 18, in Ariccia, in the metropolitan city of Rome Capital (identification mark CE IT 9 2506 LP).

The lure of Mantua salami

Finally, the Ministry has issued a precautionary recall of a batch of salami/salami mantovano branded Cattini. The reason indicated on the recall notice is the possible presence of Salmonella. The product in question is sold in packs of approximately 400/500 grams (with TMC at 120 days from the packaging date) and in whole pieces of approximately 1.2 kg with the batch number 22 02 24.

The company Salumificio Cattini Srl produced the recalled Mantuan salami. The production plant in via S. Zonta 43/a, in Suzzara, in the province of Mantua (identification mark IT 1254 LOA CE).

Previously, the Ministry of Health had reported the recall of other batches of Mantovano salami from Salumificio Cattini, again due to the possible presence of Salmonella in the product (read the article on the previous recall of Mantovano salami here)
