The “day one” of the Telepass increases it’s one step away. As many will already know since the news has made a lot of noise, since Monday, July 1, 2024 The new prices of Telepass subscriptions will come into force. In this article we offer you a summary of what will be the new rates starting from Monday until further notice, and of the promotions that Telepass has planned to “soften” an inevitably complex transition such as switching from one price list to another.

The plan is from July 1st “Telepass Base” it will cost 3.90 euros per month, that is, more than double compared to the 1.83 euros per month in the recent past. The plan fee “Telepass Plus” is placed 1 euro higher, i.e. it costs 4.90 euros per month and compared to the basic plan it allows you to book and pay in the app for trains, taxis, scooters, fuel, blue lines, ski passes, flights and more. Then there’s the “Telepass Pay Per Use”, i.e. the contract which provides for the payment of the fee only for the use of the Telepass device or services; it costs 10 euros upon activation and then 1 euro per day of use of the electronic toll and 1 euro per day of use of services, such as parking in affiliated facilities, electronic vignettes for travel in Europe or the preferential lane to board the ferry to the Strait of Messina with a car or motorbike, skipping the classic queue which in high season can be very long.

To mitigate the effects of the new tariff, the yellow highway giant has planned a series of offers and promotions for existing Telepass customers (fee for the “Plus” plan zeroed until 31 December 2025) and for those who would like to be, especially in a “hot” period for car departures such as summer. The offer is in force until July 15th. The promotion applies to both the Telepass Base and Telepass Plus plans. In both cases the company offers 1 year at no fee (then 3.90 euros/month for the “Base” and 4.90 euros/month for the “Plus”), the free device in the “Telepass Slim” format and in a color chosen from among the several on the price list (about ten), and – a factor not of secondary importance at the gates of the holidays – the 20% cashback on tolls between June and September. Finally, if you want, you can have the European Telepass without activation costs. To get the 20% refund on tolls (the maximum limit is 25 euros) you must join Telepass Base or Plus by July 15 and then, within 7 days of activating the contract, enter the codes into the iPhone or Android application: “BASE2406” for Telepass Base contracts or “PLUS2406” for Telepass Plus contracts.
