Treasury: BOT auction for 4.5 billion euros on June 26th

After the full collection in the first two placements of Bots And Btp of June, the slew of Treasury auctions continues. In detail, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) announced the issue of 12 and 6 month BOTs for 26 June, with the relevant calendar for subscription operations, for a total amount offered up to 4.5 billion euros.

In particular, the following are offered:

  • 12 Month BOT (reopening – residual life 5 months)
  • 6 Month BOT (reopening – residual life 5 months).

The reservations from the public can be made by June 25th, while the submission of applications in the auction is allowed by 11:00 am on June 26th. Applications for the supplementary auction must be submitted by 3.30pm on June 27th, while subscriptions will be settled on June 28th. Let’s see the details of each title up for auction.

BOT 12 months

Here are the main characteristics relating to 12 month BOTs, with a residual life of 5 months:

  • Amount offered: 2,500 million.

Additional general information on auctions

The Ministry recalls that on the maximum amounts of commissions applicable to customers by intermediaries, for 168-day and 154-day BOTs, the maximum commission is set for both at 0.10%. THE BOTs are auctioned with the competitive auction placement system, with operators’ requests expressed in terms of performance. Vouchers can be subscribed for a minimum amount of one thousand euros.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance recalled that the As of 14 June 2024, a total amount of BOTs amounting to 128 billion euros was in circulationof which 22 billion half-yearly and 106 billion annually.
