Good news for those who own shares of “Poste Italiane“, the company controlled directly by the Italian State thanks to the participation of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, which together own approximately 65% of the shares.
Poste Italiane’s turning point was the diversification of its activities: a long and complex journey that began many years ago and which transformed the classic post office into something much more varied and heterogeneous in terms of services offered to citizens.

The most significant news of these days, which cannot fail to please those who have decided to invest in the company in question, is that the shareholders’ meeting held last May 31st definitively approved the distribution of a balance of the 2024 dividend (relating to the 2023 financial year) of 0.563 euros per share.

A significant turning point which certifies the excellent state of health of Poste Italiane. In this regard it is necessary to remember how the coupon will be detached on Monday 24 June 2024 and paid from the 26th June.
To have a precise idea regarding the balance of the dividend, it can be noted that by comparing the amount of the balance itself to the reference price of the Poste Italiane share recorded on 7 June (12.795 euros), the yield (or dividend yield) would be equal to 4.4%.

If we also consider the advance payment of 0.237 euros paid by Poste Italiane on 20 November 2023, the company’s total 2024 dividend is equal to 0.8 euros, for a total yield of 6.25%. To understand the meaning of dividend we must refer to the portion of corporate profit distributed, upon decision of the shareholders’ meeting, to the shareholders of the same company.
