FIAT takes inspiration from Mercedes and BMW, with this SUV that has what it takes to compete with the German giants.
Certainly the market to which most domestic cars are aimed FIAT is very different from that linked to BMW and Mercedes. The German giants have in fact created luxury coupés and sedans over the years, but have now understood how popular taste is veering ever more decisively towards SUVs.
In the past the BMW showed up with an exceptional SUV like the E71, a model that was born in 2007 and remained on the market until 2014. A car 492 cm long, 201 cm wide and 180 cm high, which also allows it to be approved as a vehicle suitable for seven people, with a fabulous 6-cylinder engine, 2999 displacement and 381 horsepower.
FIAT Fastback: the new SUV from Brazil
There FIAT however, he understood how SUVs can be the future, with these German models as inspiration, for this reason a very similar vehicle was born. This is the Fastback and it is a four-wheeler which however is only linked to the Brazilian and Argentine markets. In the green and gold land its starting price is well lower than that of the Teutonic racing cars, with the cost varying between 25 and 29 thousand Euros.
We are faced with a model that also develops from a technological point of view, with this one having a 7-inch screen and a 10.1-inch multimedia panel. The dimensions show a car measuring 443 cm in length, with the FIAT which has mounted the MLA platform internally.
The engine chosen is a Turbo 270 Flex, with this allowing it to deliver a maximum of 185 horsepower. Not a bad idea either, with this coming from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds. A car therefore very interesting in terms of aesthetic and technical characteristics, with FIAT aiming to dominate more and more in South America.
