How much is
The Holiday Bonus is intended exclusively for families with an ISEE income of less than 40 thousand euros and can be spent exclusively on stays in Italy by the end of 2024. Reservations cannot be made through online portals such as Booking or Airbnb, but are allowed through traditional travel agencies and tour operators, as well as directly at the accommodation facilities. Non-professional operators are excluded.
The Holiday Bonus for 2024 varies based on the size of the family unit:
- Families with at least three people they can receive up to 500 Euros.
- Family units made up of two people they can get up to 300 euros.
- The singles can benefit up to 150 euros.
How to use it and when it expires
Of the total bonus amount, the80% will be discounted directly at checkout at the accommodation facility. The rest 20% will be refunded in the form of fiscal detraction on your 2025 tax return.
The request for the 2024 Holiday bonus must be submitted exclusively online by June 30 of the current year. The government has allocated 2.4 billion euros for the bonus, so it is possible that the program will be available until the funds run out. Since the bonus has been active since January, it is advisable to act promptly, as the funds may be nearing the end.

To request the Holiday bonus, it is essential to have an app installed on mobile devices, the digital identity Spid or one electronic identity card, and know the value of the family ISEE. The process begins by downloading the Io public services app available on the Apple Store or Google Play. Subsequently, you need to register using Spid or your electronic identity card. Once registration is complete, you will be able to log in more easily using a personal Pin or biometric recognition such as fingerprint or face recognition.
Inside the app, in the section dedicated to payments, select the option relating to the Holiday bonus and enter all the necessary information, including the ISEE. For those who do not know their ISEE, it is possible to obtain it from the INPS or a Caf.
Once this phase is completed, the app generates a specific code associated with the request for the Holiday bonus, accompanied by a QR Code. Both of these codes must be presented to the hotelier at the time of payment to take advantage of the discount.
This digital process significantly simplifies the procedure for requesting and using the Holiday bonus, ensuring efficient and transparent management of government subsidies intended to support domestic tourism.
