Dozens of vintage cars stolen, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, were found in a barn by police in Ontario, Canada. A sensational discovery, with a unexpected luxury garage among the Stirling campaigns came to light at the end of investigations that lasted for several months and which led the Canadian police to tighten the circle on land where a gang of criminals had hidden the loot. Based on the cars found, not only had the four-wheeler thieves pulled off some serious heists, but they also proved to be good car connoisseurs, stealing vintage cars such as First generation Chevrolet Corvette.

Stolen vintage cars

Who would ever go snooping around a barn looking for stolen cars? Robert Bradshaw and Gary Leblanc, two men aged 54 and 55 who ended up in handcuffs in Canada for stealing dozens of super-valuable vintage cars, will certainly have asked themselves this. In fact, 16 cars were found in a farmhouse in Stirling, Ontario, Canada, at the end of a months-long investigation which led the local police to open the doors of a barn making the sensational discovery.

Stolen cars, of a certain level, all guarded and hidden, with the thieves having planned everything in detail. From one Chevrolet Corvette first generation to a pickup truck Ford F-1also passing through one Ford Coupe it’s a Roadsters these are just some of the historic cars found, with the Opp (the Ontario provincial police) bringing to light several stolen vehicles.

An incredible discovery, especially given the huge value of the luxury garage which, given the actual type of parking, wasn’t that luxurious. For months, in fact, the vintage cars had been hidden inside a barn which, overall, could have earned the thieves over 3 million.

The target? Bradshaw and Leblanc, arrested by the OPP, probably kept them there in search of buyers, with the intention of selling them to raise some interesting loot. But it was the Canadian police who ruined the plans, who within a few months started investigations after the numerous disappearances in the area and put handcuffs on the wrists of the two men with a good taste for vintage cars.

The case of the barn in Holland

However, a barn as a luxury car park is nothing new. In fact, in 2023 a stunning collection was discovered in a farmhouse in the Netherlands, with the owner however, unlike what happened in Ontario, having everything in order.

Let’s talk about the history of Mr. Palmenthe Dutchman who has managed to put aside in 40 years 230 vintage cars of inestimable value. Well-kept cars in a warehouse behind a church which, after their discovery, were put up for auction. These were cars like a Lancia B20 yellow, Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Ferrari of all types as well as some BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar, Aston Martin and Rolls Royce. The collection also boasted cars from brands unknown to us today such as Tatra, Monica, Moretti, Matra, Alvis, Imperia and Villard.
