The major Italian Stock Exchange indices and the main European financial markets they should start the day with minimal increases.

THE main US stock indexes recorded fractional declines. The Dow Jones closed down 0.51% to 39,671 points, while the S&P500 lost 0.27% to 5,307 points. Negative performance also for the Nasdaq (-0.18% to 16,802 points).

Positive day for Tokyo stock exchange. The Nikkei index recorded an increase of 1.26% to 39,103 points, after fluctuating between a minimum of 38,617 points and a maximum of 39,129 points.

The bitcoin it fell below 69,500 dollars (around 64,000 euros).

The Btp-Bund spread it returned below 130 points, with the yield on the 10-year BTP returning close to 3.8%.

L’EUR it returned below $1.085.

There could be one of the protagonists of the day BFF Bank. The Moody’s agency has put the bank’s ratings under observation for a possible worsening. The rating action originates from what was communicated by the listed bank to MidCap regarding the supervisory measures undertaken by the Bank of Italy. As a result, analysts’ relative assessment will focus mainly on the implications of the Bank of Italy’s findings and corrective measures. BFF Bank recalled that the findings of the Bank of Italy do not imply an increase in credit losses in the institution’s portfolio, instead having as their object reporting profiles for prudential purposes.

MFE-MediaForEurope could record significant changes at the start of the day. The company communicated the financial results for the 1st quarter of 2024, which closed with improving revenues and profitability. As a result, management confirmed the financial targets for the full year.
