Eurospin has put its customers in danger by distributing a food that contains a substance that is truly toxic to health.
You don’t always have the opportunity to go to luxury supermarkets. The cost of living is increasingly higher and unfortunately the wallet is less and less heavy. This is why sometimes we go, almost compulsorily, to discount stores to get one expenditure as complete as possible possible.
Specifically, theEurospin was founded in 90’s by a group of Italian entrepreneurs with the aim of creating a network of discount supermarkets capable of competing with the foreign giants in the sector. From the beginning, in fact, the company has focused on a business model based on a limited but essential assortment.
This has therefore led to a predilection for i own brand products. This choice resulted in effective savings for both consumers and managers, but to the detriment of the manufacturing chain since the operated coststhey were kept low there.
In short, Eurospin’s strong point is precisely the quality-price ratio, over which the discount chain exercises strong control thanks to its business model, all aimed at internalize production. This is a double-edged sword though because, when unpleasant incidents happen, the consumer is much more enraged.
The harmful food
Unfortunately for Eurospin, something unexpected and potentially harmful to business happened. In fact, a report came from Ministry of Health regarding a Eurospin brand food sold in the discount store. This food would therefore contain a toxic substance for human health.
The food in question is the Soup with spelled and vegetables, an excellent makeshift lunch saver for those who don’t have time but want to eat healthy. However this lot, i.e. the number L124110, was found to have gone bad due to the substance contained therein. Therefore Eurospin has withdrawn this soup produced by from the market Green Line.
The harmful substance in the soup
Traces of a substance harmful to human beings were found in Eurospin’s Linea Verde soup clostridia producing botulinum toxin. Most commonly, it is botulinum. This has alarmed consumers, who are now terrified of having purchased a substandard product.
Eurospin has warned that it was an isolated case at the lot indicated with the code L124110. For all other products in the same line there is no need to be alarmed. The important thing is to always read the table of ingredients which is located behind the product packaging.
