Tod’s towards the renewal of the Board of Directors, Della Valle does not indicate Chiara Ferragni

The influencer Chiara Ferragni is not included in the list of names for the renewal of the Tod’s board of directors.

In the majority list presented by the shareholder Di.Vi. Finanziaria di Diego Della Valle & c, for the renewal of the board of directors of Tod’s, in fact, among the outgoing directors re-appointed for the next mandate the name of Chiara Ferragni does not appear. The list does not even indicate the names of Luca Cordero di Montezemolo and Luigi Abete. The Tod’s shareholders’ meeting for the approval of the 2023 budget, which will also have the renewal of the board of directors on the agenda, has been called for April 24th.

Chiara Ferragni joined the board of directors of Tod’s in April 2021. Diego Della Valle had announced it, underlining how “precious” his “knowledge of the world of young people” would be for the Marche group. And he explained: «Together, we will try to build projects of solidarity and support for those who are most in need, raising awareness and involving the new generations more and more in operations of this type». And Chiara Ferragni had commented: «Joining the Tod’s group means giving a voice to my generation with one of Italy’s excellences in the world».

It was a move, that of Diego Della Valle, which the market had enthusiastically approved, recognizing a concrete impact on the entry into the board of directors of the influencer with millions of followers, a fashion entrepreneur: on the day of the announcement the capitalization made a jump of 100 million and the value of the shares rose again in the following days with strong increases. Last month, after the events that overwhelmed Chiara Ferragni, Diego Della Valle responded to a question like this: «Have the people judged in the delegated positions to do so, then we will each make our own decisions. We treat this topic very seriously. Chiara Ferragni has always been very correct with us, she has done some nice charity things.”

«Not only Chiara Ferragni but all the members of the board of directors have reached the natural end of their mandate». This is what we read in a note from Tod’s which specifies: «Regarding the failure to confirm some members of the board of directors of Tod’s, Di.Vi. Financial company of Diego Della Valle &c. srl underlines that the entire Tods’ Board of Directors has reached the natural end of its three-year mandate. Therefore – we read in the note – all the directors expire and Di.Vi. Financial company of Diego Della Valle &c. srl has proceeded to present a new list of candidates composed in accordance with the provisions of the agreements concluded with L. Catterton and communicated to the market on 15 February”.
