Here is the first online map of all the charging stations installed in Italy. For the benefit of those who, not yet using an electric car, may think that they do not have a charging point within “car reach”.
The name is a bit bureaucratic, but its practical effect is very simple and immediately understandable. His name is Pun, Single national platform: essentially, an interactive map where you can find all the charging points accessible to the public on Italian territory.
It can be found online on the websites of the three institutions who collaborated to create the map. It’s about the Gse (Energy Services Manager), by Rs (Energy system research) as well as the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security
The portal, available at the web address www.Piattaformaunicanazionale.It and shows details on the type of power supply, the maximum power that can be delivered, information on the operators who provide the service (charging point operator, CPO) and the status of the charging point.
The map was presented by the Minister of the Environment Gilberto Pichetto Fratin: «The single national platform – he underlined – it is an added value for the diffusion of electric mobility in Italy: in fact it allows many homogeneous data and information on the distribution of charging points to converge towards a single institutional portal, which is valuable both for operators and for local authorities and citizens. The evolution of this platform, which will be enriched with new features in the coming months – added the minister – will be able to make it increasingly useful for the daily lives of citizens and for administrative planning”.

Today the PUN already maps over 32,000 operational public charging points in Italy, including those installed on motorway networks, on 42,500 in existence today.
The PUN, in addition to being a stimulus for the development of electric mobility, is also a support tool for local authorities in the urban planning of the territories. L’insertion of data relating to charging infrastructures by the column operators, as required by the ministerial decree of 16 March 2023, will end by July 26th.
