The mystery writer Cristina Cassar Scalia leads the best-selling books chart with her new novel starring Vanina Guarrasi, “The Chestnut Tree of One Hundred Horses”: a story set on the slopes of Etna, around a centuries-old tree where the body of a woman brutally murdered is found. The French writer Fred Vargas instead loses one position compared to last week. The stories for the little ones, illustrated and offered at a convenient price, are confirmed among the top ten choices in Feltrinelli bookstores.
The news of the week is also Francesca Giannone, the author overwhelmed by the success of her debut novel, “La portalettere”, the most read book in 2023. Her new story lands in the charts from the first days of its release: it is titled “Tomorrow, tomorrow”, in Salento at late 1950s. And scrolling through the titles, in thirteenth position, some good news: that the TV series drive the books that inspired them. Like Bridgerton by Julia Quinn.
