The Book School signs a mural in Pediatrics

From the “Path for transversal skills and orientation” addressed by high schools, a permanent work for the Urbino hospital was born. As part of the PCTO, the students of the 3rd E – Figurative Arts of the Book School painted a mural in the Pediatrics and Neonatology department of the Santa Maria della Misericordia, a gift for the structure, with the aim of beautifying the healthcare environment to welcome in the best way possible for young patients and their families, thanks to art.

The work will be permanent and was produced by the students thanks to the coordination of the tutor teacher Giovanna Forlani and the teachers Nadia Palazzi and Marco Cottini. The project was born a few years ago from an idea of Dr. Gabriele Ripanti, then head of the department, but had not been completed due to the pandemic: it has now been resumed and inaugurated thanks to Dr. Emanuela Lanfranchi, current head, and the commitment of Dr. Maria Elisabetta Pertosa, of the hospital medical management, who took care of the logistical aspect. On the walls – already painted with shapes and colors, to recall a natural environment – the students created little animals that play with each other, recreating a lively and at the same time relaxing atmosphere. For now, some walls have been built, the work will be completed next year and will extend along the entire corridor. The gift was appreciated by the department staff, the Book School is happy to have made it.
