At Palazzo Alvaro, students meet the writer Centomo

The Sala Perri of Palazzo Alvaro hosted the presentation of the book “Franca Viola, the girl who said no”, published by Einaudi Ragazzi, by Katya Centomo. A dialogue with the author together with the students of the Gulli master’s degree and the Volta scientific high school, wanted by the metropolitan city of Reggio, animated by the municipal councilor for education, university and equal opportunities, Anna Briante and with Aurelio Arcano of “Libro Amico” .

As clarified by the representative of the Falcomatà council, the book deals with a story that concerns the past, but which recurs cyclically in the strength of the arguments and which always remains current. From this perspective, the comparison with the writer is precious: an added value that gives great importance to the meeting with the students of Reggio.

The councilor then urged the girls and boys present not to isolate themselves in difficult moments, but instead to share critical issues with their families and friends, especially when it comes to important decisions.

For her part, Katya Centomo appreciated the meeting in Metrocity as one of the rare moments in which it was possible to get to know those who read and appreciate the emotions and stories of her books. There was a lot of feedback from the students and many questions about the genesis of the work, the difficulties encountered and the relevance of gender violence.
