Book presentation and free tasting of “Etruscan” foods
Archeology meets the palate

A new presentation of the essay “TO
TABLE WITH THE ETRUSCANS. Journey to discover the Rasennas through their relationship with food”
,
by the archaeologist and historical popularizer Giorgio Franchetti.

The book received the prestigious preface by prof. Stephan Steingraeberthe last great Etruscologist.

The event will be introduced by director of the Museum, Dr. Rita Rimondini and following the intervention
of the Conservative Archaeologist Dr. Paola Poli. The presentation will be enriched by the Etruscan re-enactment group Antichi Popoli which will reconstruct a couple at a banquet and the game of kottabos. At the end of the presentation there will be a tasting of “Etruscan” dishes prepared by the expert archaeo-chef Cristina Contewho collaborated on the volume in the part reserved for recipes.
