Monsignor Rodolfo Cetoloni presents his book in Montepulciano

The auditorium of Banca TEMA in Montepulciano will host, on Saturday 27 April, the presentation of the latest book by Monsignor Rodolfo Cetoloni, former bishop of Montepulciano-Chiusi-Pienza and expert connoisseur of the Holy Land and its dynamics.

The parishes of Montepulciano organized the meeting, led by Don Domenico Zafarana and Don Pietro Sanivarapu. At 4.00 pm, they will be the ones to introduce the presentation of the book “With Fido’s eyes” published by Effigi a few months ago. The text was presented by Professor Andrea Giambetti, director of the diocesan office for school pastoral care and teacher at the Poliziani high schools.

Fido, the involuntary protagonist of these stories in the book by bishop Monsignor Rodolfo Cetoloni, is a cute little dog frescoed by Cristoforo di Bindoccio in the nativity scene of the church of Santa Maria di Campagnatico, near Grosseto. He is a mute observer who witnesses the coming of Jesus among men and contemplates the mystery of God with the eyes of someone who is satisfied with little to receive everything. Bishop Rodolfo Cetoloni rereads these frescoes and the artistic beauties by internalizing them. During the presentation, a video will be broadcast on the frescoes of the diocesan Marian sanctuary of Campagnatico.

«We are very happy – as the parish community of Montepulciano – to host the presentation of this text which has met with great success among the dioceses of Maremma. We are also happy to have Bishop Rodolfo back with us, who has worked a lot for our countries and knows this territory and its people very well. We wanted this appointment in the context of the celebrations in honor of Saint Agnese Segni, to whom Bishop Cetoloni is very attached.”

Monsignor Rodolfo Cetoloni, immediately after the presentation of his book scheduled for 4.00 pm, will preside over the festive celebration on Saturday evening at 6.00 pm in the sanctuary of Sant’Agnese, concelebrated by Don Domenico and Don Pietro. The Parishes of Montepulciano thank Banca TEMA for the hospitality granted to this cultural initiative.
