In particular, Reguzzoni has reiterated several times «the increased importance of Europe in determining our future». This is a concept reiterated several times: «Without Europe we cannot try to stop unfair competition, nor manage immigration or have the authority to make one’s voice heard on the wars being fought on our borders.”

Mariassunta Miglino acted as moderator and pressed Reguzzoni with a series of specific questions, underlining in particular the passages of the book «in which a great truth emerges, namely that finance and technocracy often take the upper hand in big decisions compared to politicians who prove inadequate to address the key issues ».

The Republican president has repeatedly highlighted this his desire to return to politics after a ten-year absence from the institutions: «My separation took shape in 2012, when a government elected by the citizens, led by Silvio Berlusconi and Umberto Bossi, which had never suffered a parliamentary vote of no confidence, was forced to resign through a campaign unprecedented judicial and media. A total disappointment, with the beginning of a long period of governments that did not enjoy electoral support. But the new generations can no longer be left at the mercy of bureaucrats and financial lobbies. We need to act, and quickly, precisely by making the wind of change blow.”

All this with a very clear political project: «Beyond the outcome of a single election – commented Reguzzoni – the overall path must lead to recreating a popular mass movement that has the strength to restore value to politics. The limit of today’s parties is that they are completely dependent on their leader and not on the ideas that underlie the program.”
