Presentation of books, an exhibition, a show and the traditional commemorative procession: the calendar of initiatives developed by the Administration of Vignola, in collaboration with local associations, on the occasion of 25 April, the Festival of Liberation of the country from Nazi-fascist rule.

Thursday 18 April at 8.30 pm, at the Auris Library in Vignola, the journalists Miria Burani and Stefano Ferrari present their book entitled “Pasolini and Marzabotto” and the docufilm “The price to pay. The event is organized by the Libreria dei Contrari and the Natalia Ginzburg People’s University with the collaboration of Anpi, Mezaluna, Circolo Paradisi and Archeo e Arte.

On Monday 22 April at 6pm, in the council room of the Vignola Town Hall, Aldo Biondi and Lauro Seriacopi of the Don Milani Foundation present the book “Constitution and Resistance” which illustrates two paths of memory leading to Don Milani’s Barbiana school. The initiative is organized by the Natalia Ginzburg People’s University in collaboration with Anpi and Mezaluna.

From Tuesday 23 April to Sunday 28 April, the exhibition on World War II in Vignola “Vincere! And we will win! – the war in our home” curated by Mezaluna, Anpi and Natalia Ginzburg People’s University. The exhibition can be visited every day from 5pm to 7pm and on Wednesday 25th, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April also in the morning from 10am to 12pm.

On Thursday 25 April, at 9am, mass is scheduled in the plebeian church in the presence of the banners and banners of the fighting associations. At 9.45, in Piazza Garibaldi, the meeting for authorities, citizens and associations and formation of the procession which will move to lay the wreaths on the headstones in memory of the fallen accompanied by the notes of the Marano Band, arriving in the Town Hall park where they will be held institutional greetings.

Finally, again on Thursday 25 April from 7pm, at the Vignola swimming pool, “Writing on canvas” organized by Anpi and at 9.30pm “Senza patria” Nomadi Cover band, free live concert, in collaboration with Olimpia Vignola and Giùinpiscina.
