Anghiari Dance Hub – Training Call for Light Designers Under 35
Anghiari Dance Hub, a center for the promotion of dance, announces a call for training in light dramaturgy in the context of choreographic creation for 4 young light designers and lighting technicians. He will be a tutor Gianni Staropoli, teacher at the Silvio D’Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome who received the Ubu award for best lighting design in 2017. The seminar will take place from 14 to 19 November 2024 at the Teatro dei Ricomposti in Anghiari. The presentation to the public of the choreographic drafts accompanied by the lighting design drafts will be on 22 and 23 November 2024 (with installations on 20 and 21 November).

IED Roma – Laurea in “Interactive Environments” e in “Design for Public Spaces”
IED Roma launches two new courses: Laurea in Interactive Environments and in Design for Public Spaces. The first trains designers who are able to use digital technologies to conceive and create devices, environments, installations and experiences. The second trains professionals who are able to redesign public spaces, with a view to strengthening the connection between people and the places they inhabit. Registration is open for both for the first edition, which will take place next autumn.

PhEST – Call for photographers and visual artists
On the topic of Dream the fourth edition of the PhEST Pop Up Open Callan international contest created in collaboration with LensCulture, one of the most authoritative platforms for the promotion of contemporary photography talents in the world: intense, intimate and profound works interpreted with any language, all media, still or moving images, from photography to illustration, collage, animation can be submitted. Up for grabs: an exhibition at PhEST – See Beyond the Sea, the renowned international photography and art festival, which returns to Monopoli from August 30 to November 3, 2024; a publication and other benefits.

Domus Academy – Call for Six Design Scholarships
The DAXMI call for six full-tuition scholarships for the master’s degrees at the design academy – in the fields of design, fashion, experience and business – starting in February 2025, is online, thanks to the collaboration between Domus Academy e the municipality of Milan. Candidates must already have a first level Academic Diploma or a Degree, or be about to graduate by the beginning of the Master and, in any case, by the Academic Year 2023-24.

Architecture Foundation / Turin – Call for training for architects
The Foundation for Architecture / Turinthanks to European funding, launches an innovative international training project in collaboration with the Polish partner LURE. The aim is to enhance the approach of off-site architecture – away from the construction site, in the industry where the individual components are built and then assembled on site – to support the green and digital transition of the architectural sector. The Foundation officially opens the call for the selection of 10 Italian architects who will participate in the entire training program in Turin and Warsaw.

Reply – Call for short film filmmakers with AI
Replyan Italian company leader in the creation of new business models enabled by AI, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Digital Media and the Internet of Things, launches the first edition of Reply AI Film Festival, an international competition for anyone who wishes to try their hand at creating a short film, in which it will be possible to use the various Artificial Intelligence tools available on the market to create the various elements of the production: scripts, storyboards, images, films, visual and sound effects. The works, original and lasting a maximum of 10 minutes, must be presented via registration on the dedicated platform, and will be awarded at the 81st Venice Film Festival.

The art screen – Call for residency for moving image artists under 35
The call for applications is online Visio Production Fundthe 35 thousand euro production residence promoted by The screen of art and aimed at young Italian and European artists under 35 who use moving images in their practice. The 8 selected artists will be invited to Florence to develop a new production in dialogue with international curators and producers in an intensive program of mentoring sessions, round tables and individual meetings. The funds will ultimately be awarded to 3 artists who will work with Leonardo Bigazzi and the Lo scuola dell’arte team to produce their works and premiere them at the Festival in 2025.
