Milan, 17 June 2024 – Crossing for the first time the entrance to Palazzo Citterioadmire the splendid decorated rooms of this house-museum and descend into the hypogeum, the room designed by James Sterling. In September the logo will be presented and also some more details on the contemporary art exhibitions and projects that will be organized in the large, bright space on the second floor (one is planned that will tell the architectural history of the Palazzo di Brera, from the 13th century to today) and as they said in the hypogeum. Certainly, finally, since December, the palace will host the prestigious modern art collections donated by the Jesi and Vitali families.

While waiting, wandering through the spaces it is impossible to remain indifferent to the luxurious setting of the exhibition, curated by the fashion critic Alexander Fury, which showcases a selection of garments from the archives of international brands such as Balenciaga, Dior, Gucci, Schiaparelli, Versace and Armani. Exhibition that celebrates the 130 years of history of the Austrian maison and narrates the influence it has had on the world of fashion, jewelry and pop culture in general. During the route it is also possible to admire a precious selection of dresses that have been worn by Madonna, Tina Turner and Kylie Minogue. There is also a pop up store and a café in the garden of the Palace, curated by chef Carlo Cracco. “After this test we will close Palazzo Citterio again and finish the work”, confirms director Crespi. “We are signing partnership agreements with the Milanese civic museums. I had the first contacts with councilor Sacchi. Everything will be included under the Grande Brera brand.”
