Massimo Uberti: life and research

Massimo Uberti was born on 9 June 1966 in Brescia. After graduating from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, he made his debut in the early 1990s as a member of the group of artists of Lazzaro Palazzi Space, movement which became part of the archive of Museum of the 20th century.
After training as a painter, the artist experimented with photography, but only in the use of neon did he find the most suitable language to express his research. Straight and simple lines gave shape to the first bright environments, which then developed into large sculptures such as Tense Infinite, as part of the exhibition Dreams of the possible city, hosted in 2008 at the Stelline Foundation Of Milan. Over the years, Massimo Uberti has created several works of Light Art, many of which draw inspiration from drawings of ideal, utopian cities, rarely completed, whose lines and geometries intersect, finding balance and form in reality.
