Eva Liu was the 21-year-old from Naperville, Illinois, who died after being thrown into a ravine near Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany. The girl was the victim of an attempted rape in the “fairy tale castle”, a well-known tourist destination for travelers from all over the world. With the 21 year old friend Kelsey Chang, 22, was also attacked who fortunately survived thanks to the timely intervention of the doctors.
The two girls had met another American tourist along the path to the castle on Wednesday afternoon. The man allegedly spent some time with the two girls and then lured them into a trap with the excuse of showing them a panoramic view of the Marienbruecke bridge.
According to what was disclosed, at that point the tourist would have tried to rape Eva. Kelsey Chang intervened immediately, but the man first choked her and then pushed her off the cliff.

The girl was thrown into the ravine of the Bavarian castle and died shortly after being admitted to hospital due to her serious injuries.
