Tension rises along the 38th parallel, on the border between North Korea And South Korea. South Korean soldiers have shot of warning shots towards military North Koreans who have briefly crossed the border between the two countries. An episode that was archived as an “accident”, despite it being the third incursion of this kind occurred this month.
South Korea fires at North Korean soldiers
The episode, according to what was reported by the South Korean media, occurred around 11am local time (4am in Italy) today, Friday 21 June.
Different North Korean soldiers who worked inside the demilitarized zone on the border between the two countries have crossed the dividing line military. THE Southern soldiers they responded with some warning shotsafter which Pyongyang’s soldiers withdrew.
The episode was archived as accidental by South Korean authorities. An official from the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff Command, quoted anonymously by the agency Yonhapsaid that after returning to their borders they resumed their work, until late at night.

It’s about the third violation of the kind by North Korea this month, after similar incidents occurred on June 9 and 18. And it comes after the historic visit of the Russian president Vladimir Putin to Pyongyang, by the ally Kim Jong Un.
Even in previous cases the Seoul Command had said that they appeared unintentional. The border violations occurred as North Korea deployed large numbers of troops to enforce the border, erecting barriers and laying minefields.

The North is building a wall on the border with the South
According to BBCfrom the analysis of satellite images it emerged that North Korea would be building a wall near the border with South Korea, inside the demilitarized zone (DMZ).
There demilitarized zone is a 4 kilometer wide buffer zone on the border between the North and the South, which are still technically at war having never signed a peace treaty after the end of the Korean War (1950-1953). The DMZ is divided into two zones, one controlled by the South and the other by the North.
