Donald Trump and Stormy Daniels found themselves in the same courtroom for the first time yesterday in New York. And the tycoon had to “endure” the story in front of the judges of the alleged sexual assault he allegedly carried out from the voice of the actress, 27 years old at the time of the incident. The facts, as is known, date back to 2006, when the two met during a golf tournament on Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Daniels told her version of events yesterday without giving up details, in front of an often incredulous jury. Trump, at the time “just” a millionaire entrepreneur, invited the young woman to dinner in her hotel mega-suite. When she showed up, Daniels said, he opened her door in silk pajamas. They chatted and argued, and when he started to get a little too outspoken, she playfully hit him with a magazine. She then asked him if he was not married. He replied yes, but not to worry, since they didn’t even sleep in the same bed with his wife. The alleged assault and the trial

She started to leave, but he stopped her, although “not in a threatening manner.” Then there was sexual intercourse, brief and unprotected according to the actress. She didn’t explicitly say no, but it was a relationship based on an “imbalance of power,” according to Daniels, now 45. “I stared at the ceiling and wondered how I ended up there.” In the courtroom the porn star was a flood, so much so that the judge had to ask her to slow down the pace of the story, interspersed with beatings, laughter and long digressions. Trump’s trial, however, does not concern the alleged rape, but the fraud on the accounts he allegedly carried out to hide the payment of 130 thousand dollars to his then lawyer, Michael Cohen, who paid the sum to the actress to buy her silence on the story on the eve of the 2016 elections. Donald Trump’s defense maintains that the woman’s story is not credible, also because over time some details have been reported in different ways. And the judge himself admitted yesterday that “there are some things that would be better left unsaid” and that Stormy Daniels could have credibility problems. The trial continues anyway, and the actress will return to the courtroom tomorrow, this time to be questioned by Trump’s lawyers.
