What’s happening at Mediaset after the end of L’Isola dei Famosi: the decision on presenter Luxuria has arrived.
A few days before the final of this edition at Mediaset, the conclusions are drawn. In Cologno Monzese we are wondering about the difficulties of this year’s cult reality shows on Canale 5, that is The Island of the Famous And Big Brotherbut also of the flop de The Babe and the Nerd. But while Alfonso Signorini is already working on the next edition, Vladimir Luxuria and Enrico Papi seriously risk not only not leading the new season but also being left without plans.
In the case of L’Isola dei Famosi, according to the majority of viewers, various elements contributed to the disappointing results (numbers definitely down compared to the previous edition hosted by Ilary Blasi). First of all, a cast that didn’t live up to expectations: a group that didn’t seem up to par, with several former veterans of other reality shows and semi-unknowns making their TV debut. But there are also other reasons.
The Island of the Famous, the reasons behind the semi-flop
In his weekly column of the magazine New TVthe host Alessandro Cecchi Paone – among other things a former competitor of the reality show set in Honduras – defended the host Vladimir Luxuria. According to Paone the presenter would have been “wasted”, due to various factors such as an editorial line (in the famous course zero trash which also affected the GF) which did not enhance the show and which blocked the dynamics of the group.
Moreover, not even the two commentators, Sonia Bruganelli and Dario Maltese, shined. But, therefore, will Vladimir Luxuria be reconfirmed? According to rumors coming from Cologno Monzese, the presenter should not host the next edition and Mediaset is thinking of entrusting the program again to Ilary Blasi. The Roman presenter will return, after almost a year, at the helm of a show this summer, alongside Alvin, in Live beats, going in turn to replace Elisabetta Gregoraci.
A less probable hypothesis, but one that has been rumored for a few weeks, it even involves stopping the program, also seen the return of another historic Mediaset reality show, The mole. Cologno Monzese is unlikely to deprive itself of the show, even if the announcement of an edition of Temptation Island even in autumn it did not make fans of L’Isola dei Famosi rejoice. The official decision should arrive at the end of the month, we’ll see.
