Summer is also arriving on Rai and Mediaset and this means new schedules and faces that have been missing on the small screen for some time. Information, light-heartedness and culture will guide the programming of the main networks in the coming months between reruns and new releases.

Rai’s proposals
Starting with the 31 matches of the European Football Championships, including those of the reigning Italian national team, which from yesterday until 14 July will keep the Rai1 audience company, occupying the early evenings.
On the culture front, after having conducted the specials on the Pompeii excavations and the one on the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings, Alberto Angela will return at the end of the month with “Noos – The adventure of knowledge”, while the game show “Chain reaction” hosted da Pino Insegno offers itself as the ideal company while waiting for the evening edition of the news. Special events scheduled, again on Rai1, are “A voice for Padre Pio” on 28 June and “The match of the heart” scheduled for 16 July.
Alessandro Greco will say good morning at the helm of “Uno Mattina Estate”, while after the 1.30pm edition of Tg1 the reruns of “Un step from heaven” and “Che Dio ci helps” will once again entertain the spectators while waiting for the start of “Estate in diretta” hosted by Nunzia De Girolamo and Gianluca Semprini.
Mediaset’s response
Mediaset responds in kind by showing off one of its best weapons. On Canale 5 from 27 June “Temptation Island” will restart, hosted once again by Filippo Bisciglia and with new love stories ready to excite millions of Italians. On the fiction front, on the same network, “The Rose of Vengeance” started yesterday and “Family Secrets” is coming soon, while the musical show “Battiti Live” will be broadcast on 8 July.
The morning will instead open in the company of “Mattino Cinque News” hosted by Dario Maltese, former commentator of the reality show “L’isola dei famous” and they will have coffee with “Pomeriggio Cinque Estate” hosted by Simona Branchetti. Something new will arrive on Rete4 starting from June 25th, when the first evening will be preceded by a new information program hosted by Roberto Poletti supported by Francesca Barra. Finally, Italia Uno, as reported by DavideMaggio’s blog, renews the broadcasting of the series “Chicago Fire”, “Chicago PD” and in August “Chicago Med” starting from July.
