It’s about a highly regarded former athlete, capable of giving great satisfaction to Italian athletes, then recycled as the protagonist of the most famous national reality show. Sport itself caused the inconveniences that then led to the surgery.
He is the former fencer Aldo Montano, Olympic champion in 2024 in Athens and then protagonist of the sixth edition of the GF VIP (his experience was quite eventful: he also had to temporarily leave the house due to institutional commitments). Today the forty-five year old is in hospital.

For the past five years Montano has suffered from severe hip problems, and at one point even had difficulty moving. For this reason, at the beginning of June, the former Olympic athlete entered a hospital in Sassuolo to undergo the procedure to a surgery. “After 5 not easy years from today I have a hip prosthesis at zero kilometers. Sport is good for you but don’t overdo it“, he wrote on Instagram immediately after the surgery.
And now he is facing recovery with rehabilitation. In the latest video posted on social media you can see him doing leg exercises, and everything seems to be going well. He walks with crutches, but it must be sent. And on the bench, for leg push-ups, he doesn’t seem to have any major problems.
