This year fans of Elite they won’t have to wait until autumn before they can return to Las Encinas: Netflix announced that the eighth and final season of the provocative Spanish teen drama will be available for streaming with all episodes from July 26. “Las Encinas will open its doors one last time” we read in a note, “for a new, eighth season full of secrets, rivalries, corruption and excesses in the purest style Elite“. In fact, just observe the new teaser trailer – a messy and frenetic mixture of nudity, aggression, screams of desperation, adolescent passion and imprudent behavior – to realize that the boys of Las Encinas will keep faith in themselves until the end.

Elite 8: What awaits us in the final season?

The teaser trailer shows – among other things, some of which are more or less alarming – very few frames of the long-awaited reunion between the brothers Omar and Nadia Shanaa, made possible by the return of Mina El Hammaniwhich reunited on set with the only other original cast member still in the series Omar Ayuso. The two won’t be the only brothers in the eighth and final season. The arrival of Emilia and Héctor Krawietz, head of the Las Encinas alumni association, will shake the foundations of the school. Influential, powerful, corrupt and corrupting, the Krawietz will spread chaos wherever they go and destroy the lives of those who fall prey to them. Only Omar will be able to face them and will be willing to do anything to see them fall, because, after all, they represent everything wrong that has always been at Las Encinas.

The two new characters are played by Ane Rot (The Killer Readers’ Club) And Nuno Gallego (UPA Next). In October, on the occasion of the announcement that Elite would end with the next cycle of episodes, the co-creator Carlos Montero he had said, “Let’s end on a high note. Jamie [Vaca, co-showrunner della serie], Netflix and I thought it was time to end it. I say this with great regret because they were incredible years during which I met wonderful actors, we worked with all the directors we wanted to work with… Elite It changed everyone’s lives.”
